Pupils from Ipsley CE RSA Academy enjoyed a festive Christmas lunch thanks to the generosity of Redditch family based business, Oakland International, and their Oakland Foundation charity.

Serving lunch to more than 390 pupils, on the 10th and 11th December, pupils and staff tucked in to a Christmas turkey lunch with all the trimmings. They then moved on to a delicious selection of Christmas puddings and desserts, joined by team members from Oakland International and the Oakland Foundation.

Oakland International MD, Barry Davies commented: “Christmas is a time for giving, and as a family business committed to supporting our local community, when the Foundation approached us with the idea of funding the pupils’ Christmas lunch we were delighted to support this Christmas initiative.”

Organised by the Foundation on behalf of Oakland International and working in partnership with the school, this Christmas gesture of goodwill meant that the whole school was able to enjoy a special festive moment together.

Ipsley CE RSA Academy, Principal Nicola Beech, commented: “Our relationship with the Oakland Foundation has continued to go from strength to strength this term. The Christmas meal was a lovely way to end the term together and we thank them for their support of the school and look forward to the exciting projects we have planned for 2016.
